The Cabans. Hide’s three cosy wooden Cabans are individually hand made, tucked between trees, bushes and wildflowers. Each has plenty of space, with its own terrace, separate private bathroom and kitchenette. Cwtch up beside our Chilli Penguin Wood Burning Stove, sleep in a double bed with cotton sheets, electric blanket, duvet and Melin Tregwent’s wonderful woollen blankets and wake with the most beautiful sea views.

You can eat in your Caban or on your own terrace. The kitchenette gives you two electric hobs, mini oven, small fridge/freezer and outside, your own charcoal barbecue with all the tools.

We all want our own bathroom, so we built one close to each Caban, in a shepherds hut with toilet, walk-in shower, basin and organic soaps and lotions. The name, Caban, is inspired by Welsh meeting rooms historically used at the mines. It seems well suited, reflecting a cultural link to the region where these small buildings provided shelter, often in remote locations. Ours are named after old mines in South Wales: Merios, Llwynon and Dyllas. The Cabans all have electricity – we want you to get away but not to be totally cut-off.
We had a wonderful time staying at Walden Lodge. The lodge was perfect and the attention and care taken in creating it was second to none. The owners were absolutely lovely and couldn’t of looked after us any better. The view and surrounding area was wonderful. Would wholeheartedly recommend going there and we will definitely visit again.
